Guttenberg Gallery was formerly known as Shepherd Gallery, named after a well known gallery in New York, founded by Martin Reymert, uncle to the founder of this gallery, Cindy Olsen. This New York gallery was located in the upper East side, and was an entrepreneurial project which experienced great success. The Shepherd Gallery has mounted exhibitions since 1966 and moved to their current space on East 79th Street in 1998. The gallery still exists and many of the world's major museums and private collections have acquired works of art through their exhibitions and catalogs. They have an established relationship with the Patrick Derom Gallery of Brussels, under the name Shepherd & Derom Galleries.
